Actor Voltaire Council was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on May 30th, 1996, only to discover later, May 30th was the last day of his name sake François-Marie Arouet, or Voltaire in 1778. Voltaire Colin Council grew up in a small town outside of Raleigh on the Deep River where he explored and played with his younger brother of five years, Actor, Caulder Council. His many influences include his mother, a Fine Arts painter, and father a Scientist. At age 6, Voltaire demonstrated a strong ability to adopt accents, characters, and lengthy dialogue which fascinated him, from movies, TV, friends, and relatives. Soon after, Voltaire began taking workshops at Raleigh Little Theatre.Starting in 2010, two years back-to-back, Voltaire was cast in lead roles working with Zachary Coker and Andrew Nelson at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in "The Unnecessary Man" and "NC-14". Writer, Andrew Nelson, indicated "NC-14," the second film, was written with Voltaire first in mind. The two films had followed an individual performance at the Kodak Theatre in 2008, a result of receiving "First Place (Children's) Dramatic Acting." "Secrets in the Fall," filmed in 2013, gave Voltaire new perspective and depth in the role of Drew Williams. Voltaire continues to explore scene and character development in both drama and comedy. In 2014 Voltaire was cast as Young Finn in "The Originals".
