This television series follows in comedy the daily activity and struggles of Reagan Brinkley, a young ambitious woman, who has a successful career, who after receiving her first child, struggles against balancing between her responsibilities as a mother and duties as a working woman, the thing that challenges her.
It was good to see that creator Emily Spivey was able to wring comedy from the new-parent situation without using the same dozen baby jokes we've all seen 200 times before.
Skilled as Applegate, Arnett and Rudolph are at making us laugh, they need dimension. If that doesn't develop, "Up All Night" could have the cutest baby and the funniest diaper jokes in the world and we still wouldn't stick around.
