Season 2 of the fantasy series picks up right after the previous season's final episode. When it's revealed that nobody was killed and everybody is just fine.
[It] was fun science fiction in it's first season, but it has the oppertunity and realistic chance to become something greater than just escapism in season two as darker themes are introduced, but never at the expense of the humor or the characters.
When combined in the right quantities, innovative technology such as heat mapping and old school analog tricks like strobe lights and hidden magnets can still be enchanting enough to charm even the most cynical of us.
The interplay between the decisions each character makes with the consequences and moral dilemmas they confront in a setting that's appropriate for the epic nature of their mission is a wonderful way to weave a tale that will engage the audience.
There are constant reminders throughout the season two premiere and subsequent episodes about how while this show might look whimsical, the consequences are anything but.
