Struggling against having a quiet life in the Bahamas, a group of pirates, suffer from the permanent wars they have even with each other or with aliens, such as Flint, a powerful pirate who with Silver face a cruel punishment in front of the crew, while Vane, celebrates with his new position in the island.
Black Sails gave us quite a hearty premiere. There were no real signs or seeds of, perhaps, the full scope of Season 2 that I could tell but perhaps this year's run is best spent simply expanding upon the themes that were already previously set.
The stories are intricate enough to hold attention, but not too intricate. The action, which always supersedes the chatter, is the thing, and here it's something to see indeed.
