An action movie that is mixed with comedy events following the half human-monster, Wuba, who is now about to start his own journey as he decided to leave his human parents Tian and Lan. Meanwhile Peace has not been restored in the monster world after the death of the evil monster king.
Monster Hunt 2 ultimately shapes up as more of a stopgap effort to showcase the franchise's possibilities and stir up interest for its grand denouement.
[Tony Leung] is the best thing about the film, consistently delivering the biggest laughs and never appearing as if he is trying too hard at it either.
An even more kid-friendly offering than before, [this] is a visually vibrant fantasy comedy that may disappoint viewers invested in the more thematically adventurous original.
"Monster Hunt 2" is so perfectly good-natured and so utterly nonsensical that it makes not-thinking-about-it basically an act of self-preservation, for which, bless its bouncing, gurgling, flolloping heart.
