Set against the backdrop of an underground, bohemian London, the film is about a group of young friends (Will Poulter, Alma Jodorowsky) live their days imitating art and enjoying a fast-paced lifestyle.
It remains a sincere, sweet-minded venture: one of those debuts in which characters and film-makers appear to be finding themselves before your very eyes.
Not everyone will be charmed by the film's uncritical depiction of upper-crust privilege, but the ever-watchable Poulter holds things together, while Cara Delevingne, perfectly at home in this milieu, adds her customary boho chic in a supporting role.
Not a piece written by an adult looking back with an affectionate, wiser eye on their youth, but by youngsters living out this lifestyle now. Though that can be to the film's detriment in parts, it also adds significantly to the film's undeniable charm.
