Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love
Trailer

Over time, this modest family goes through a powerful event where they face a destructive event that defies their will. Perhaps during that crisis we will have a real look for their own holidays about faith, love, sacrifice and all that is related to that family.

These numerous, disorganized plot points attempt to make up for the flimsy dialogue and hammy acting - flaws that weren't nearly so evident in last year's movie.
What pulls it all together is what pulls together everything Dolly Parton touches: heartfelt emotion, un-ironic portrayals of modest sincerity (Nettles and Schroder are particularly effective), and a gift for turning treacle into musical gold.
While the filmmakers... have sprinkled some genuine moments... made a great hire in casting Nettles... they have inadvertently made their subject, the charismatic singer herself, into someone whose life you'd rather not hear about anymore.
This inspirational blending of two stories from Parton's childhood is just the thing to get you in the holiday spirit, but the life-and-death realities deserve consideration for sensitive viewers.
