Synopsis: Misguided Youth turned Navy Diver turned Aerospace Engineer turned Actor/Writer. (He like's change, sue him!) Paul left a career as an aerospace/mechanical engineer where he was working on the James Webb Space Exploration Telescope. After five years of military service as a navy diver, he is a licensed commercial diver. He is also a recreational scuba diver, a free-diver and could hold his breath for up to six minutes at one point. He is an ex-college swimmer and an advanced yogi. He plays Golf to a 9 handicap and was a brown belt in taekwondo in high school. He enjoy's endurance training, walking his dog with his wife, reading, and working with his hands. He has dedicated his life to the search for his place in the universe and the constant pursuit to be the absolute best he can be in all parts of his life.Extended Bio: Paul grew up traveling the world, with most of his childhood split between the American South and Saudi Arabia. He also traveled throughout the Middle East and Europe as well as much of the continental United States all before high school.According to his mother, as a child, Paul was incredibly high energy with a prominent destructive streak and an abundance of untapped creativity. His primary modes of self-expression being aggressive abstract non-dimensional wall sketching, full-throated scream-singing, and recording newscasts and movies on the family video camera. His magnum opus at eleven was a story about the gods of Greece raining terror on the people of Athens, with an emphasis on fire and absolutely no regard for existing Greek mythology. The epoch piece was complete with blowtorch lightning, boiling mud pits, a cast of hamsters, a three-foot iguana, and GI Joes ultimately dismembering a Cyclops Barbie. After finishing high school with as much rebellion and struggle as one kid could possibly accumulate, he set out to follow his childhood dream of becoming a navy seal. After signing on the dotted line and shipping out, it was brought to his attention that he is afflicted with slight colorblindness, which he chooses to believe is due to an abundance of genetic gifts in other areas. For obvious reasons, this unforeseen infirmity disqualified him from working with explosives, a principal job requirement of navy seals. With this disappointment looming, and four years of service obligation on the path ahead, he scrambled to find an equally exciting alternate way to serve.Men of Honor had released just prior to Paul's entry into the navy and it was a favorite movie of his. This story of the first African American navy diver struggling against all odds, fighting to follow his dreams spoke to him deeply. So, in part thanks to Cuba Gooding Jr. and of course good old Bob DeNiro, he decided to become a navy diver. Completing the grueling training to become a United Stated Deep Sea Diver will always be one of his proudest accomplishments. That being said, nearly five years of service was enough for a non-conformist as hard-headed as he, so he set out to follow his next dream. After an honorable discharge from service in 2006, he headed to California to try and discover who the hell he was. Having zero direction coupled with a debilitating fear of public speaking, he decided to dive into speech and theater classes in order to overcome this debilitating mental obstacle. Four semesters later he was completely in love with theater history and performance. After completing college with a Mechanical Engineering degree, congruent to his development as an actor, he found a job in Los Angeles so that he could support his artistic pursuits.Paul lives in Hermosa Beach CA with his wife Megan, a third-grade teacher, and his rescue dog Ziggy.
