Rege Lewis, best known for his role as B-Ball in the Official White House Movie of 2013, THE INEVITABLE defeat of MISTER and PETE, Travis Elkins in BOARDWALK EMPIRE and most recently, as Kendall in NBC's CHICAGO PD, is a current senior Business Major and a Graduate of the William Esper Conservatory in New York City, where he matriculated under the esteem Bill Esper. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Rege was introduced to acting by his 12th grade English teacher, Mrs. Diane Gilyard, By introducing him to Tyron J. Butler, founder of the local theater company, The Augusta Mini Theater. Mr. Butler auditioned and cast Rege as the lead role in his touring production, WHO'S KILLING THE DREAM.Shortly after that, Rege found himself working with other theater companies in the local area, such as the Augusta Players and was later discovered by Bill and Carolyn from the Augusta base talent agency, Model Productions. Those opportunities led to his first television performance via commercial for the local restaurant, WIFE SAVERS. After taking home all the top awards from a world-wide talent show in Orlando, Florida via Model Production, Rege meet two Atlanta base talent agents by the name of Joy Pervis and Brenda Pauley. They invited Rege to come to Atlanta and audition for their agency and that meeting led to both sides agreeing to work together. From there he followed his passion and his calling to become an actor. After performing in several theatre, television and independent projects throughout, Atlanta, Rege successfully, landed the lead role in a high profile commercial, advertising Ted Turner's, TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES. Shortly, after that Brenda and Joy encouraged Rege to move to Hollywood and pursuit his dream of becoming an actor full time.Taking their suggestion to heart, Rege packed up his 1988 Oldsmobile and headed west for Hollywood. He was in Los Angeles only two days before he gained representation from the high powered and hardworking, Hollywood agent, Bob Waters. After only 8 months of being in L.A., and on his third audition, Rege booked his first major role, on the CBS Primetime drama, THE HANDLER. Other role's includes movies such as, STATES OF GRACE and SHACKLES starring King of Comedy star, D.L. Hugely.Rege was also casted as an understudy, in Susan Lori-Parks Pulitzer Prize winning play, TOPDOG/UNDERDOG at the Mark Taper Forum. It was Rege's chance encounter at the Taper, when one night backstage, Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington joined the cast for small talk. Rege asked Mr. Washington for some advice, and he encouraged him to "...continue to study the craft". That in turn, led to Rege's trip to audition for a spot at the world renowned William Esper Studio-Conservatory. Since relocating to New York, Rege has found success in the world of theatre, television and film.Rege's goal is to become a respected actor throughout the industry, and throughout the community.
