Doug grew up in the small rural town of Berlin, Wisconsin. He started acting in high school in every fall musical and spring production. He went on to study Theatre at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay where he received a B.A. in Theatre-Performance. It was there where he learned the Stella Adler approach to acting. Highlights of his collegiate acting career include: Bernard in Mamet's "Sexual Perversity in Chicago", Stan in 'Brighton Beach Memoirs", Merllersh in "Enchanted April", and working with an ensemble cast playing multiple roles in Carol Churchill's adaptation of "A Dream Play."After college he pursued his film career in the Midwest. Starring in such films as "The Last Summer" and "A Chance in Hell", a WWII Nazi/Zombie film shot outside Chicago.Moved to Los Angeles in 2010. Soon after he was featured in "How I Met your Mother" and cast as a double in "Pretty Little Liars." He went back to the theatre to be a part of the the Harold Clurman Laboratory Theatre Company's first Los Angles production: "Waiting for Lefty" by Clifford Odets. The show was Critics Pick on Backstage and won an extended run. "Lefty" went on to be performed six months later in a one week off-Broadway run at the Stella Adler School of Acting.He studied for two years at the Art of Acting Professional Evening Conservatory - the west coast branch of the Stella Adler School of Acting in NYC. Graduated the program in 2013, and studied under Phillip MacKenzie, Ron Burrus, Don Williams, Richard Greene, and Jane Fleiss-Brogger.Has been in short films such as Dirty Spaghetti which has run the comedy short festival curcuit, as well as RIP, which debuted in 2016 at the New Filmmakers Los Angeles festival.Made a starring appearance as Mark Twitchell in Discovery ID's "Killer Confessions" in 2015.He studies under Joshua LeBar at Joshua LeBar Studios.
